It enables acquisition, storage and integration of &nbsp;research data, diverse in form, content and provenance, as well as processing, visualization and sharing of digital resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The infrastructure enables <strong>extensive research<\/strong>, in particular <strong>in three key areas <\/strong>identified through the analysis of the DARIAH-PL working groups experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>geoarchaeology <\/strong>covering broadly understood non-invasive analysis and documentation of soil, landscape, and monuments,<\/li><li><strong>cultural data<\/strong> covering broadly understood interdisciplinary research on culture and phenomena occurring in it,<\/li><li><strong>musicology <\/strong>covering research on music as an acoustic, cultural, historical and social phenomenon and its perception.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Dariah.lab offers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/lab.dariah.pl\/en\/infrastructure\/infrastructure-components\/\">network of distributed laboratories<\/a> that make up Dariah.lab is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and resources to perform <strong>interdisciplinary research<\/strong> requiring the use of diverse materials including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>hardware resources<\/strong> for acquiring and processing digital data (digital representations of physical objects), including mobile stations for use in the field,<\/li><li><strong>software services and modules for data processing and analysis<\/strong>, e.g. generation of a machine interpretable representation of the source material,&nbsp; e.g. retrieval of the contents of an old print from a previously obtained scan of the object,<\/li><li><strong>corpora\/datasets <\/strong>with tools for their exploitation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can use Dariah.lab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dariah.lab is designed for <strong>public entities<\/strong> <strong>conducting research<\/strong> (e.g., universities, research institutes), entities that can use the infrastructure and data to fulfill their mission (e.g., p<strong>ublic and private arts and culture institutions,<\/strong> as well as <strong>NGOs <\/strong>disseminating cultural data), and for <strong>businesses <\/strong>(e.g., for R&amp;D work in history modeling or its use in education).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Information about  Dariah.lab use policies is presented in the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/lab.dariah.pl\/en\/infrastructure\/policies\/\">Polices<\/a>&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About infrastructure Dariah.lab is a research infrastructure for digital arts and humanities.
