DARIAH-PL is a development project funded under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020 in the area „Development of modern research infrastructure of the science sector”.
Project consortium
The project is carried out by by 16 Partners, 15 of which are members of DARIAH-PL consortium, which is the largest humanities consortium in Poland. The coordinator of the project is the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS – Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.
As a part of the European network DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities), DARIAH-PL creates, develops and maintains the digital humanities infrastructure, which is included in the Polish Research Infrastructure Map in the area of social sciences and humanities.
Project objectives
The aim of the project is to build Dariah.lab infrastructure which includes hardware and software tools using state-of-the-art technological solutions and integrated digital resources from various fields of humanities and arts sciences. The network of distributed research laboratories constituting Dariah.lab is designed on the basis of a research agenda developed by the consortium members. It consistes of Source Laboratory, Automatic Enrichement Laboratory, Supervised Semantic Discovery Laboratory, Intelligent Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory, and Advanced Visualization Laboratory.
The use of Dariah.lab is possible at the level of national and international research and development projects as well as in cooperation with commercial partners.
Project value
The value of the project is 129 496 338.76 PLN, and the contribution of European Funds is 99 800 000.00 PLN. Dariah.lab implementation began on January 1, 2021 and will last 3 years.
